Monday morning, the Senate introduced AB405, parental notification for underage girls seeking an abortion.

In a surprise move, the bill was referred to the Finance Committee. The reporting portion of the bill, the only portion that was found to have fiscal consequences, had been removed on the Assembly side. Again, the phantom $2 million fiscal note is cited as the concern.

The speed with which it was introduced and referred makes me worry.  It is not too early to start calling the Senators.
